Being Trauma Aware is a free online course that provides fundamental and evidence-based information so organizations and individuals can better support young people and families impacted by trauma.
Presented by our friends at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre in Calgary with support from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Being Trauma Aware is aimed at anyone who works in a child-serving organization or who interacts in a formal way with children and youth possibly exposed to maltreatment or other adverse experiences. These individuals include social workers, teachers, police officers, doctors, coaches, and more.
The course includes five modules:

- Trauma and its Impact on Brain Development
- Impacts of Trauma
- Trauma-Informed Practice
- Building the Foundation for Resilience
