is hard enough with academic pressures, friendships, and growing up. But for some, those challenges are compounded by unthinkable trauma – abuse, neglect, or witnessing violence. For these children, speaking up and asking for help is the first brave step toward healing.
At the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara, we provide a safe, nurturing space for children and youth to begin their journey of recovery. Every dollar raised supports vital programs that help children regain their confidence, build resilience, and transform trauma into triumph.
Every year, hundreds of children in Niagara find safety and support at the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre. Here, they receive:
One-on-One Mental Health Counselling
Immediate, no-cost counselling tailored to their unique needs.
Therapeutic After School Programs
Activities like art, yoga, and mindfulness help kids express themselves, heal, and reclaim joy.
Camp Acorn
Niagara’s first trauma- informed day camp, where children can build confidence, make friends, and just be kids again.
Kids First Project
Educational programs designed to empower children to protect themselves and recognize unsafe situations.
These programs, made possible by your donations, give children and youth the tools they need to heal and move forward.
